Shepherds & the Lamb of God

The first announcement of Jesus’ birth didn’t go to kings or priests—it went to shepherds. And not just any shepherds, but Temple shepherds, the men who raised Passover lambs. How fitting that they were the first to see the true Lamb of God.

God met them in the middle of their ordinary work. He spoke peace and joy to humble hearts. And He revealed a Savior who would one day take away the sin of the world.

Like the shepherds, we’re invited to respond:

to go where God leads,

to tell of what we’ve seen,

and to worship with grateful hearts.

The baby in the manger is the Lamb on the altar—and He came for you.
